Flower Mound, Texas borders Lewisville to the west. The Town of Flower Mound is actually named for a small hill, or mound, that stands about 50 feet above the surrounding land. The Mound is home to over 175 species of wild flowers. Like Lewisville, Flower Mound is another very popular and growing place to live! Happy 4th of July!!! Many celebrations are planned throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth area to celebrate America's Independence Day! The City of Coppell is starting their annual July 4th celebration on July 3rd, where we will have our very own fireworks show in the park. Bring your picnic baskets or buy food at the event. Brave Combo will bring you into the celebration spirit with their upbeat and unique polka music. Then, conclude the evening watching a magnificent fireworks show! On Saturday July 4th, at Flower Mound High School, fireworks begin at dusk. Gates will open at 7 p.m. The fireworks show and parking at Flower Mound High School are free. Music will be provided by the Flower Mound Symphony Orchestra. Also Saturday night, Lewisville will conduct their annual fireworks show from the Vista Ridge Mall. There are many other celebrations throughout the metroplex. What a great time to celebrate, and also what a great time to participate in the American Dream (and Texan Dream) of home ownership!!!
